Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Smartsheet, Google slides, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Smartsheet and Google slides integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Smartsheet and Google slides (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Smartsheet and Google slides

Smartsheet + Google Slides + Slack: When a new event (like a change in a row) occurs in Smartsheet, the automation updates a chart or specific cells in a linked Google Slides presentation to reflect the new data. Subsequently, a notification is sent via Slack to a designated channel, informing stakeholders of the updated project milestones.

Google Slides + Smartsheet + Google Calendar: When a new presentation is created in Google Slides, the automation fetches data from a specified Smartsheet sheet. It then uses this data to schedule a review meeting in Google Calendar, inviting relevant participants to the presentation review.
