How to connect Gender API and Basecamp
Create a New Scenario to Connect Gender API and Basecamp
In the workspace, click the “Create New Scenario” button.

Add the First Step
Add the first node – a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Gender API, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Gender API or Basecamp will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Gender API or Basecamp, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Gender API, Basecamp, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Gender API and Basecamp integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Gender API and Basecamp (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Gender API and Basecamp
Basecamp + Gender API + Slack: When a new project is created in Basecamp, the automation identifies the gender of each new member using the Gender API based on their name. A personalized welcome message is then posted in the relevant Slack channel.
Basecamp + Gender API + Google Sheets: Upon creation of a new project in Basecamp, the automation retrieves the gender of each project member via the Gender API. This gender data is then recorded into a Google Sheet to track team diversity.
