Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring GitLab, Captions, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the GitLab and Captions integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between GitLab and Captions (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect GitLab and Captions

Captions + Slack + GitLab: When Captions finishes generating a video, a message with a link to the video is sent to a dedicated Slack channel. A GitLab issue is then created to track feedback on the video.

GitLab + Captions + Jira: When a new commit is made to a GitLab project, Captions generates a video based on the changes. Once the video generation is complete, a Jira ticket is automatically created for review.
