Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring LiveChat, Gmail, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the LiveChat and Gmail integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between LiveChat and Gmail (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect LiveChat and Gmail
LiveChat + Gmail + Google Sheets: When a chat is deactivated in LiveChat, the transcript is summarized and emailed to a support manager via Gmail, and the full transcript is saved to a Google Sheet for record-keeping.
Gmail + LiveChat + Slack: When a new email is received in Gmail, the flow checks for high-priority keywords. If a keyword is found, a notification is sent to a Slack channel, and a new chat is initiated in LiveChat to address the email's content.
