Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Open Weather, Figma, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Open Weather and Figma integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Open Weather and Figma (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Open Weather and Figma

Open Weather + Figma + Slack: When Open Weather detects severe weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, snow) based on a location obtained using Direct Geocoding, a message is sent to a specified Slack channel alerting designers who are working on location-based designs in Figma.

Figma + Open Weather + Google Sheets: When a new Figma project is created, the project details, along with current weather conditions obtained from Open Weather, are logged into a Google Sheet. This allows for tracking the environmental impact on material choices for design projects.
