Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring PagerDuty, Google Analytics, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the PagerDuty and Google Analytics integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between PagerDuty and Google Analytics (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect PagerDuty and Google Analytics

PagerDuty + Google Analytics + Slack: When a new or updated high-priority incident occurs in PagerDuty, the automation checks Google Analytics for any unusual traffic spikes using a report. If a significant spike is detected, a message is sent to a relevant Slack channel to alert the team.

Google Analytics + PagerDuty + Email: If website traffic drops suddenly based on a Google Analytics report, create a high-priority incident in PagerDuty to alert on-call personnel. Simultaneously, send an email to the marketing team to investigate the traffic decrease.
