Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Render, OpenPhone, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Render and OpenPhone integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Render and OpenPhone (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Render and OpenPhone

Render + Slack + OpenPhone: When a Render deployment fails, a Slack message is sent to notify the on-call engineers. If the engineers are unable to resolve the issue quickly, they can use OpenPhone to contact the necessary support teams for immediate assistance.

OpenPhone + Render + PagerDuty: When a high-priority call is received in OpenPhone, the system checks the status of Render services. If a Render service is down, a PagerDuty incident is triggered to ensure immediate attention and escalation.
