Create a New Scenario to Connect Sendgrid and Salesforce
In the workspace, click the โCreate New Scenarioโ button.
Add the First Step
Add the first node โ a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Sendgrid, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Sendgrid or Salesforce will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Sendgrid or Salesforce, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Select the Sendgrid node from the app selection panel on the right.

Click on the Sendgrid node to configure it. You can modify the Sendgrid URL and choose between DEV and PROD versions. You can also copy it for use in further automations.
Add the Salesforce Node
Next, click the plus (+) icon on the Sendgrid node, select Salesforce from the list of available apps, and choose the action you need from the list of nodes within Salesforce.

Authenticate Salesforce
Now, click the Salesforce node and select the connection option. This can be an OAuth2 connection or an API key, which you can obtain in your Salesforce settings. Authentication allows you to use Salesforce through Latenode.

Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Sendgrid, Salesforce, and any additional nodes, donโt forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking โRun onceโ and triggering an event to check if the Sendgrid and Salesforce integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Sendgrid and Salesforce (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Sendgrid + Salesforce + Calendly: When a new lead is created in Salesforce (Salesforce/Triggers/New Record), monitor email engagement using Sendgrid. If a welcome email is sent to that lead via Sendgrid (hypothetically tracked via Sendgrid actions that aren't listed, but assumed for the sake of providing a response. In actuality, Sendgrid triggers are absent, so one would need to manually update a custom field in Salesforce to trigger the automation), then schedule a follow-up meeting using Calendly (Calendly/Actions/Create Event) to engage further.
Salesforce + Sendgrid + Slack: When a new lead is created in Salesforce (Salesforce/Triggers/New Record), and a welcome email is sent via Sendgrid (again, using Sendgrid actions that aren't explicitly listed but are implied, such as sending an email, or, in actuality, requiring a custom field update as Sendgrid triggers are absent), alert the sales team in Slack (Slack/Actions/Send Public Channel Message) about the new lead and the confirmation that the welcome email has been sent.
