Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Sendgrid, Salesforce, and any additional nodes, donโ€™t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking โ€œRun onceโ€ and triggering an event to check if the Sendgrid and Salesforce integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Sendgrid and Salesforce (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Sendgrid and Salesforce

Sendgrid + Salesforce + Calendly: When a new lead is created in Salesforce (Salesforce/Triggers/New Record), monitor email engagement using Sendgrid. If a welcome email is sent to that lead via Sendgrid (hypothetically tracked via Sendgrid actions that aren't listed, but assumed for the sake of providing a response. In actuality, Sendgrid triggers are absent, so one would need to manually update a custom field in Salesforce to trigger the automation), then schedule a follow-up meeting using Calendly (Calendly/Actions/Create Event) to engage further.

Salesforce + Sendgrid + Slack: When a new lead is created in Salesforce (Salesforce/Triggers/New Record), and a welcome email is sent via Sendgrid (again, using Sendgrid actions that aren't explicitly listed but are implied, such as sending an email, or, in actuality, requiring a custom field update as Sendgrid triggers are absent), alert the sales team in Slack (Slack/Actions/Send Public Channel Message) about the new lead and the confirmation that the welcome email has been sent.
