Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Slack, Bitly, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Slack and Bitly integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Slack and Bitly (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Slack and Bitly

Slack + Bitly + Google Sheets: When a new message is posted in a Slack channel, the workflow shortens any URLs found in the message using Bitly. The original URL, shortened URL, and timestamp are then logged in a Google Sheet for marketing analysis.

Bitly + Twitter + Slack: Whenever a new Bitlink is created, the workflow posts the shortened link to Twitter and notifies the marketing team in a designated Slack channel with the Bitlink details.
