Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Slack, Google docs, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Slack and Google docs integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Slack and Google docs (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Slack and Google docs

Slack + Google Docs + Zoom: When a new message is posted to a specified Slack channel, the workflow summarizes the message content and appends it to a Google Doc. Then, a Zoom meeting is created to discuss the summarized content further.

Google Docs + Slack + Google Calendar: When a new document is created in Google Docs, a message is sent to a designated Slack channel with a link to the document. A Google Calendar event is then created to schedule a team review of the document.
