Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Slack, Pinecone, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Slack and Pinecone integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Slack and Pinecone (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Slack and Pinecone

Slack + Pinecone + Google Docs: This automation summarizes Slack channel messages periodically. The summary is then indexed in Pinecone for efficient retrieval and appended to a Google Docs document.

Pinecone + Slack + Jira: When a new Jira issue is created, the description is used to search Pinecone for similar past incidents. If a match is found, a summary of the past incidents is posted to a Slack channel.
