Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Smartsheet, Dropbox, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Smartsheet and Dropbox integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Smartsheet and Dropbox (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Smartsheet and Dropbox

Smartsheet + Dropbox + Slack: When a row in Smartsheet indicates a project phase is complete, archive the related files in a specified Dropbox folder and then notify the project team via a Slack channel message.

Dropbox + Smartsheet + Google Sheets: When a new file is uploaded to a specific Dropbox folder, the file name and other relevant metadata are added as a new row in a Smartsheet. This Smartsheet data is then periodically summarized and updated in a Google Sheet.
