Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring SmartSuite, GitLab, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the SmartSuite and GitLab integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between SmartSuite and GitLab (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect SmartSuite and GitLab

SmartSuite + GitLab + Slack: When a task is completed in SmartSuite (Updated Record), a message is sent to a specified Slack channel to notify stakeholders. This could be used to alert a development team when a feature request has been finalized and is ready for implementation in GitLab.

GitLab + SmartSuite + Jira: When a new issue is created in GitLab, automatically create a corresponding task in SmartSuite. Additionally, add a comment to the related Jira issue, if one exists, referencing the newly created SmartSuite task.
