Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Softr, Google docs, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Softr and Google docs integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Softr and Google docs (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Softr and Google docs

Softr + Google Docs + Airtable: When a new form is submitted in Softr, a Google Docs document is created from a template, populated with the form data, and a new record is created in Airtable to log the submission and link to the document.

Google Docs + Softr + Google Sheets: When a new document is created in a specified Google Docs folder, its content is analyzed, and the data is used to update a Softr website. The changes are then tracked by adding a new row to a Google Sheets spreadsheet.
