Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Square, Github, and any additional nodes, donโ€™t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking โ€œRun onceโ€ and triggering an event to check if the Square and Github integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Square and Github (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Square and Github

Square + Github + Slack: When a refund is issued in Square, search for the associated commit in Github using information from the Square event. Then, send a message to a Slack channel with details about the refund and a link to the relevant Github commit.

Github + Square + Google Sheets: When a new commit is made to a specified Github repository, find associated payments in Square. If a payment failure is found, log the commit details and the payment failure reason in a Google Sheet for analysis.
