Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Square, MySQL, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Square and MySQL integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Square and MySQL (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Square and MySQL

Square + MySQL + Google Sheets: Whenever a new event occurs in Square (e.g., a sale), the details are logged into a MySQL database. Then, a daily summary of sales data from the MySQL database is added to a Google Sheet for reporting purposes.

MySQL + Square + Slack: When a new customer order is registered in a MySQL database, the automation creates a corresponding customer profile in Square. A Slack notification is then sent to the sales team to alert them of the new customer.
