How to connect Clio and Captions
Create a New Scenario to Connect Clio and Captions
In the workspace, click the “Create New Scenario” button.

Add the First Step
Add the first node – a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Clio, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Clio or Captions will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Clio or Captions, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Clio, Captions, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Clio and Captions integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Clio and Captions (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Clio and Captions
Clio + Captions + Google Drive: When a new communication is created in Clio (likely a video call), submit the video for transcription to Captions. Once the transcription is complete (though the available actions don't directly confirm completion, we'll assume it's handled internally by Captions after submitting the video), upload the video file and its transcript to a designated Google Drive folder associated with the corresponding Clio case.
Clio + Captions + Slack: When a new communication (meeting) occurs in Clio, submit the associated video to Captions for transcription. Once the video is transcribed, send the transcript and a summary (assuming Captions provides this as part of the transcription process, since it can Submit requests) to a dedicated Slack channel for review and follow-up.
