Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring ConvertKit, ConvertAPI, and any additional nodes, donโ€™t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking โ€œRun onceโ€ and triggering an event to check if the ConvertKit and ConvertAPI integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between ConvertKit and ConvertAPI (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect ConvertKit and ConvertAPI

ConvertKit + ConvertAPI + Google Sheets: When a new subscriber is added to a ConvertKit form, convert a predefined template file (e.g., a welcome kit) to a PDF using ConvertAPI, and then log the subscriber's email and the PDF conversion status to a Google Sheet.

ConvertAPI + ConvertKit + Slack: When a document is converted via ConvertAPI, the user's email (if available in the conversion details) is used to add them to a ConvertKit sequence. A notification is then sent to a Slack channel, informing the team about the new sequence addition.
