Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Intercom, Grist, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Intercom and Grist integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Intercom and Grist (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Intercom and Grist
Intercom + Grist + Slack: When a new urgent conversation is started in Intercom, a new record is created in a specified Grist sheet to track the issue. A notification is then sent to a designated Slack channel alerting the team of the new urgent issue.
Grist + Intercom + Google Sheets: When a record in Grist is created or updated, the workflow updates contact details in Intercom. The record data is also added to a Google Sheet for reporting purposes.
