Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking โ€œRun onceโ€ and triggering an event to check if the SOS Inventory and Github integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between SOS Inventory and Github (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect SOS Inventory and Github

SOS Inventory + Github + Slack: When the stock level of a hardware component falls below a threshold in SOS Inventory, a search for related issues and pull requests is performed in Github. If relevant discussions are found, a message is sent to a designated Slack channel to alert the development team about the low stock and related code reviews.

Github + SOS Inventory + Jira: When a new, hardware-related issue is created on Github, a new task is created in Jira to track the issue. Additionally, SOS Inventory is updated to reflect the potential impact on hardware stock levels.
