How to connect Gender API and Clockify
Create a New Scenario to Connect Gender API and Clockify
In the workspace, click the “Create New Scenario” button.

Add the First Step
Add the first node – a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Gender API, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Gender API or Clockify will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Gender API or Clockify, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Add the Gender API Node
Select the Gender API node from the app selection panel on the right.

Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Gender API, Clockify, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Gender API and Clockify integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Gender API and Clockify (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Gender API and Clockify
Clockify + Gender API + Google Sheets: When a new time entry is created in Clockify, the automation retrieves the employee's gender from the Gender API (using the employee's email). It then adds this information, along with the time entry details, to a Google Sheet for diversity analysis.
Clockify + Gender API + Slack: This automation monitors new time entries in Clockify. When the duration of a time entry exceeds a defined threshold (e.g., overtime), the employee's gender is retrieved from the Gender API (using the employee's email). Finally, a message is sent to a Slack channel to notify managers about potential gender bias in overtime hours.
