Most powerful ways to connect Gender API and Discourse
Discourse + Gender API + Google Sheets: When a new topic is created in Discourse, the automation retrieves the author's gender based on their name using the Gender API. This data, along with other topic details, is then logged in a Google Sheet for community demographic analysis.
Discourse + Gender API + Slack: When a new user joins the Discourse forum, the automation uses the Gender API to determine the user's gender based on their name. A customized welcome message, including information about gender-related community events, is then sent to the new user via Slack.
