Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Github, Facebook Pages, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Github and Facebook Pages integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Github and Facebook Pages (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Github and Facebook Pages
Github + Facebook Pages + Slack: When a new release is published in a Github repository, a post is automatically created on a specified Facebook Page, and a message is sent to a Slack channel to notify the team.
Facebook Pages + Github + Google Sheets: This automation tracks engagement metrics (e.g., comments, likes) on Facebook posts related to Github projects and logs this data into a Google Sheet. The automation starts with listing the posts on a page, then searches for relevant Github project information using the post data, and finally writes the data to a Google Sheet.
