Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring GoCanvas, Discourse, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the GoCanvas and Discourse integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between GoCanvas and Discourse (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect GoCanvas and Discourse
GoCanvas + Discourse + Slack: When a new inspection report is submitted in GoCanvas, a summary is posted to a designated Discourse forum. A Slack notification is then sent to a specific channel, alerting relevant personnel about the new report and providing a link to the Discourse post.
Discourse + GoCanvas + Jira: When a new topic is created in Discourse that contains a feature request, a corresponding Jira ticket is automatically created for the development team to review. Information from the Discourse topic is used to populate the Jira ticket details.
