Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Google AppSheet, GoCanvas, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Google AppSheet and GoCanvas integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Google AppSheet and GoCanvas (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Google AppSheet and GoCanvas

GoCanvas + Google AppSheet + Slack: When a new submission is created in GoCanvas, it triggers the addition of a new record in Google AppSheet. Upon record approval in Google AppSheet by updating the record, a notification is sent to a specified Slack channel.

GoCanvas + Google AppSheet + Google Sheets: A new submission in GoCanvas populates AppSheet with new records. When a form is approved in AppSheet by updating the corresponding record, the updated record data is logged in a Google Sheet for analysis by adding a row.
