Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring JobNimbus, GitLab, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the JobNimbus and GitLab integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between JobNimbus and GitLab (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect JobNimbus and GitLab
JobNimbus + GitLab + Slack: When a Job in JobNimbus is updated (specifically reaching a milestone), this triggers the creation of a new issue in GitLab. Once the issue is created, a notification is sent to a designated Slack channel to inform the team.
GitLab + JobNimbus + Google Sheets: When a new commit is made in GitLab, the commit data is retrieved and added as a new row in a Google Sheet. This row is then linked to a relevant JobNimbus project (identified e.g. via naming conventions in the commit message) to track project progress and code changes.
