Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring LiveChat, Discourse, and any additional nodes, donโt forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking โRun onceโ and triggering an event to check if the LiveChat and Discourse integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between LiveChat and Discourse (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect LiveChat and Discourse
LiveChat + Discourse + Slack: When a new chat is started in LiveChat, a new topic is created in Discourse to track the conversation. A notification is then sent to a designated Slack channel to alert the support team about the new Discourse topic.
Discourse + LiveChat + Gmail: When a new topic is created in Discourse, a summary is sent to LiveChat agents via direct message. Additionally, a daily digest of new topics is sent to users via Gmail.
