Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring LiveChat, GitLab, and any additional nodes, donโ€™t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking โ€œRun onceโ€ and triggering an event to check if the LiveChat and GitLab integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between LiveChat and GitLab (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect LiveChat and GitLab

LiveChat + GitLab + Slack: When a new chat comes into LiveChat, if a tag is applied indicating a bug report, an issue is created in GitLab and a notification is sent to a Slack channel.

GitLab + Jira + LiveChat: When a new commit is made to GitLab, check if the commit message fixes an issue. If it does, update the corresponding Jira ticket and notify the user who reported the issue via LiveChat.
