Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Motion, Creatomate, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Motion and Creatomate integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Motion and Creatomate (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Motion and Creatomate

Motion + Creatomate + Google Calendar: When a task in Motion is updated, a video is rendered in Creatomate from a template. Then a Google Calendar event is created to schedule promotion of this video.

Creatomate + Motion + Slack: When a new video render is completed in Creatomate, the associated task is retrieved from Motion, and a message is sent to a Slack channel notifying the design team.
