Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Motion, Mixpanel, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Motion and Mixpanel integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Motion and Mixpanel (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Motion and Mixpanel
Motion + Slack + Mixpanel: When a task in Motion is completed, a summary of the task details, including the project name and completion date, is sent to a specified Slack channel. This information is also tracked as an event in Mixpanel for analysis of project completion rates.
Mixpanel + Motion + Google Sheets: When a specific user event is tracked in Mixpanel, a new task is automatically created in Motion to follow up on the user behavior. The details of the event and the created task are logged in a Google Sheets spreadsheet for reporting and analysis.
