Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Okta, ClickSend, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Okta and ClickSend integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Okta and ClickSend (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Okta and ClickSend
Okta + ClickSend + Slack: When Okta detects an unusual event, such as a login from a suspicious location, ClickSend sends an SMS notification to the IT support team. A Slack message is also sent to the IT support channel for visibility.
ClickSend + Okta + PagerDuty: When a new SMS is received by ClickSend, the flow does not check for SMS confirmation failures directly. Instead, it triggers an event in PagerDuty. This escalation is triggered immediately upon receiving a new SMS from ClickSend. This use case is not ideal and lacks a clear failure condition.
