Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Ortto, Discourse, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Depending on your setup, data should flow between Ortto and Discourse (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Ortto and Discourse

Ortto + Discourse + Slack: When a new activity event is triggered in Ortto (e.g., a customer visits a specific page), find the corresponding user in Discourse. Then, send a welcome message to a specified Slack channel, mentioning the user and inviting them to engage in the relevant forum.

Discourse + Ortto + Google Sheets: When a new post is created in Discourse, create or update the person's details in Ortto. Subsequently, add a new row to a Google Sheet to track the post details, author information, and Ortto record association for analysis.
