Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Recut, Basecamp, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Recut and Basecamp integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Recut and Basecamp (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Recut and Basecamp

Recut + Basecamp + Google Drive: When a new Recut link is created (representing a video edit), it automatically uploads the video file to a specified folder in Google Drive. A new Basecamp message is created in a project to notify the team where to find the video for review.

Basecamp + Recut + Slack: When a task is completed in Basecamp, use Recut to create a celebratory link. Then a message with that link is posted in a dedicated Slack channel to congratulate the team.
