Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Recut, Clockify, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Recut and Clockify integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Recut and Clockify (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Recut and Clockify

Clockify + Recut + Google Sheets: This automation tracks video editing time per project. When a time entry is created in Clockify, it checks for associated Recut project details. The time entry data, along with project info, is then logged to a Google Sheet for client billing and reporting.

Clockify + Recut + Slack: This flow monitors time spent on Recut projects via Clockify. When a Clockify time entry is created, the automation checks if the time exceeds a predefined limit for the associated Recut project. If the limit is exceeded, a Slack message is sent to the video editor, alerting them to the time overage.
