Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Recut, Discourse, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Recut and Discourse integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Recut and Discourse (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Recut and Discourse

Recut + Discourse + Slack: When a new video highlight is created in Recut, a post is automatically created in Discourse to share the highlight with the community. A notification is then sent to community managers in Slack to inform them about the new post.

Discourse + Recut + YouTube: When a new topic is created in Discourse, list all posts in that topic, then create a short YouTube tutorial using Recut based on the discussion, and upload it to YouTube.
