Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Salesforce, Businessmap, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Salesforce and Businessmap integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Salesforce and Businessmap (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Salesforce and Businessmap

Salesforce + Businessmap + Slack: When a new high-value opportunity is created in Salesforce, a corresponding card is automatically created in Businessmap to manage the tasks related to that opportunity. Then, a notification is sent to a designated Slack channel to inform the team about the new opportunity and the associated Businessmap card.

Businessmap + Salesforce + Google Sheets: When a card in Businessmap is updated, the automation retrieves opportunity data from Salesforce based on custom card ID and logs the time spent (assuming you have a mechanism for tracking time within Businessmap card events) into a Google Sheet. This sheet can then be used to generate summary reports of time spent per opportunity.
