Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Sendgrid, Bitly, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Sendgrid and Bitly integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Sendgrid and Bitly (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Sendgrid and Bitly

Sendgrid + Bitly + Google Sheets: When a new Bitlink is created from a Sendgrid email campaign URL, the Bitlink and related information are added to a Google Sheet for tracking campaign engagement.

Bitly + Sendgrid + Slack: When a new Bitlink is created, check if the Bitlink contains 'email campaign' in the URL. If true, send a message to a designated Slack channel, notifying the team about the creation of a shortened link for an important email campaign.
