Smsapi + PagerDuty + Email: When a new incident is triggered in PagerDuty, an SMS message is sent to the on-call user via Smsapi. Simultaneously, an email is sent to the escalation team, informing them of the new incident.
PagerDuty + Smsapi + Slack: When a PagerDuty incident is acknowledged, an SMS message is sent to update the relevant parties via Smsapi. A message is also posted in a designated Slack channel to keep the team informed of the acknowledgement.
