Google has announced a major expansion of its AI-powered Search tool, rolling out new features designed to help users streamline tasks and customize their online experiences. The update includes tools for booking, personalization, and sharing, and extends access to over 180 additional countries and territories.
One of the standout features is task automation. The AI Mode now enables users to book restaurant reservations directly through platforms like OpenTable and Resy. With this new functionality, users can specify details such as party size, preferred cuisine, and time, making the process more intuitive and efficient. Meanwhile, support for event ticket bookings and service appointments is expected to follow soon.
For users in the United States, Google has introduced an experimental feature accessible through Labs. This feature leverages AI to provide personalized suggestions based on previous activity. For example, AI Mode can recommend locations tailored to a user’s preferences, such as specific food types or seating arrangements. These settings are fully manageable through a user’s Google Account.
Another addition is improved sharing functionality. Users can now share AI-generated responses with others. The recipients can continue the conversation or ask follow-up questions, ensuring a collaborative and seamless experience. Importantly, senders retain control over the shared links, with the ability to delete them at any time.
As part of its commitment to inclusivity, Google has confirmed that more languages and regions will be supported in future updates.
"Google Search AI Mode adds booking, personalization, and sharing tools", the company noted, signaling ongoing enhancements to its service.
With these updates, Google continues to position its AI-powered Search as a versatile tool for global users, combining advanced technology with practical applications to simplify daily tasks and improve user experiences.
