Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Amazon Redshift, Okta, and any additional nodes, donโ€™t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking โ€œRun onceโ€ and triggering an event to check if the Amazon Redshift and Okta integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Amazon Redshift and Okta (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Amazon Redshift and Okta

Okta + Amazon Redshift + Slack: This flow monitors Okta for new events. When a new event occurs, the user data associated with the event is retrieved. Then, Redshift is queried for any unusual access patterns for the specific user. If unusual activity is found, a message is sent to a designated Slack channel to alert the security team.

Okta + Amazon Redshift + Google Sheets: This flow monitors Okta for new events. When a new event indicating a login failure occurs, the event details are added as a new row in an Amazon Redshift table. Then, this data from Redshift is used to periodically update a Google Sheets spreadsheet, providing a report of Okta user login failures for analysis.
