Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Basin, Feedly, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Basin and Feedly integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Basin and Feedly (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Basin and Feedly
Basin + Feedly + Slack: When a new submission is received via Basin, the workflow searches Feedly for related articles based on keywords found in the submission. If relevant articles are found, a message containing links to those articles is sent to a designated Slack channel.
Feedly + Basin + Twitter: When a new article appears in a Feedly feed, a form is created or updated in Basin with pre-populated fields for a tweet. This allows a user to quickly review and post the tweet to Twitter (simulated via Slack notification, as there's no direct Twitter integration). The Slack notification serves as a reminder to then complete the tweet via the Basin form.
