Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Canny, Grist, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Canny and Grist integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Canny and Grist (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Canny and Grist

Canny + Grist + Slack: When a new feature request is created in Canny, the details are automatically added as a new record in a Grist sheet for tracking. A notification is then sent to a dedicated Slack channel to inform the product team about the new request.

Grist + Canny + Jira: When a record is created or updated in Grist, the number of Canny votes is checked. If the votes exceed a certain threshold, a new issue is created in Jira for the engineering team to address.
