Create a New Scenario to Connect Captions and Monster API
In the workspace, click the โCreate New Scenarioโ button.
Add the First Step
Add the first node โ a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Captions, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Captions or Monster API will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Captions or Monster API, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Select the Captions node from the app selection panel on the right.

Click on the Captions node to configure it. You can modify the Captions URL and choose between DEV and PROD versions. You can also copy it for use in further automations.

Next, click the plus (+) icon on the Captions node, select Monster API from the list of available apps, and choose the action you need from the list of nodes within Monster API.

Authenticate Monster API
Now, click the Monster API node and select the connection option. This can be an OAuth2 connection or an API key, which you can obtain in your Monster API settings. Authentication allows you to use Monster API through Latenode.

Next, configure the nodes by filling in the required parameters according to your logic. Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory.

Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Captions, Monster API, and any additional nodes, donโt forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking โRun onceโ and triggering an event to check if the Captions and Monster API integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Captions and Monster API (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Captions + Monster API + Slack: When a new video is processed by Captions, the video's status is checked. Once complete, the Monster API generates a monster image based on the video's topic. This image is then shared on a designated Slack channel.
Discord bot + Captions + Monster API: When a new message is posted in a Discord channel, the message content is used to generate a caption and then used to generate a monster image using the Monster API, and post the image to the discord channel.
