Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Circle, Jira, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Circle and Jira integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Circle and Jira (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Circle and Jira
Circle + Jira + Slack: When a new post is created in Circle, the workflow checks for keywords related to bugs or issues. If found, it automatically creates a new issue in Jira and then sends a notification to a designated Slack channel to alert the development team.
Jira + Circle + Google Sheets: Track Jira issue resolution times. When an issue is updated in Jira, the workflow posts an update to a specified Circle space and logs key metrics, such as resolution time, into a Google Sheet for analysis and reporting.
