Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring ClickUp, Grist, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the ClickUp and Grist integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between ClickUp and Grist (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect ClickUp and Grist
ClickUp + Grist + Slack: When a ClickUp task is updated, specifically when its status changes to 'completed', the corresponding record in Grist is updated to reflect this completion. A notification is then sent to a designated Slack channel to inform the project team of the task's completion.
Grist + Google Calendar + ClickUp: When a new record is created or updated in Grist, representing a new project, the automation creates a corresponding task in ClickUp. The task's deadline is determined by retrieving event details from Google Calendar that match the project's timeframe as specified in the Grist record.
