Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Coda, TimeCamp, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Coda and TimeCamp integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Coda and TimeCamp (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Coda and TimeCamp
Coda + TimeCamp + Slack: When a row is updated in Coda, indicating a task is complete, the automation retrieves the time spent on the task from TimeCamp using the task name. Then, a summary of the completed task and time spent is posted to a specified Slack channel.
TimeCamp + Coda + Google calendar: When a new time entry is created in TimeCamp, the automation creates a new row in Coda, logging the time spent on the project task. It also lists events from Google Calendar and displays them in Coda.
