Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Code, OpenPhone, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Code and OpenPhone integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Code and OpenPhone (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Code and OpenPhone

Code + OpenPhone + Slack: When a code error is detected via a Code trigger, an automated OpenPhone call is initiated to the on-call developer. Subsequently, a Slack message is sent to a designated channel to notify the team about the error and the initiated call.

OpenPhone + Code + Google Sheets: When an OpenPhone call is missed, the call details are logged in a Google Sheet. A Code action then checks the Google Sheet, and if the missed call is deemed urgent based on predefined criteria (using a JavaScript code block), it triggers a JavaScript-based alert (can be extended to other actions).
