Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Code, Vapi, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Code and Vapi integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Code and Vapi (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Code and Vapi

Code + Vapi + Slack: Code executes a script that monitors system alerts. When a critical alert is triggered, the script sends the alert details to Vapi. Vapi summarizes the alert and posts an update to a dedicated Slack channel, keeping the team informed.

Vapi + Code + Google Sheets: Vapi captures customer interactions and passes the interaction data to a Code block. The Code block processes the data, extracts key information, and then logs the processed data into a Google Sheet for later analysis and reporting.
