Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Creatomate, Dropbox, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Creatomate and Dropbox integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Creatomate and Dropbox (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Creatomate and Dropbox

Creatomate + Dropbox + Slack: When a new render is completed in Creatomate, the resulting video file is automatically uploaded to a specified folder in Dropbox. Once the upload is confirmed, a notification is sent to a designated Slack channel, informing the team that the video backup is complete and providing a link to the file in Dropbox.

Dropbox + Creatomate + Google Sheets: When a new file is added to a specific folder in Dropbox (designated for completed Creatomate videos), its details (filename, URL) are added as a new row in a Google Sheet. This allows for tracking and monitoring of completed Creatomate video projects stored in Dropbox, providing a centralized log for project management.
