Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Discourse, Salesmate, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Discourse and Salesmate integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Discourse and Salesmate (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Discourse and Salesmate

Discourse + Salesmate + Slack: When a new topic is created in Discourse, the automation searches for relevant contacts in Salesmate. If matching contacts are found, a notification is sent in Slack mentioning the new topic and relevant contacts.

Salesmate + Discourse + Google Sheets: When a deal is closed in Salesmate, a new topic is automatically created in Discourse to discuss the deal. The details of the closed deal and the new Discourse topic are then recorded in a Google Sheet for tracking and analysis.
